If I were going to go to the drag strip to 1/4 mile test my car...what do you think will give me better straightaway performance?

18x8.5 with Toyo Proxes T1-S 245/35/18.
Overall weight = 38lb.
Tread = 1/4 life left

16x7.5 with S02 225/50/16
Overall weight = 41lb.
Tread = 0 life left (on wear bars)

I'm more used to lauches with the 18's by the way.

Thanks,

I know it's taboo to even talk abvout racing in this context, but do yourself a favor (and your clutch, diff, etc.) and get him on the twisties!

I suggest you go with the 18s. Since you are more used to them and have more tread on them.

Good luck and kick some ass for us.

I would use the tire and rim combo that would give you the best width with the lowest height, width giving traction, and low height giving you slightly better gearing.

Good luck!

That'd be hella tight. Just sucks that I'm stuck at home with major oral surgery recovery action going on.

If he doesn't call and back up HIS offer to race... I'll get on his case.
