Nothing magical happens at 600 on the dot. You're probably fine now. Of course, a lot of people vtec as they leave the dealer, and some wait 1000 miles. Both have cases of running fine. I say wait though - build up the anticipation, it won't disappoint

So, sneak it up to 7500 or so. You really need to hear what happens in a lower gear as you pass 6K.

Just drive it how you want it.. nothing is going to happen nor will there be any negative effects.

Yeah, it's like baking. Doesn't matter if you leave out a grain or two of salt. Just go ahead and do it.

Goddammit. I couldn't wait. I took a late lunch, and decided to drive around a bit to kill some time. One turn led to another, and I found myself at a stoplight that led onto a nice long straight. So I decided to take a 'peek.' It turns out, that little 'peek' turned into 3 godly, screamin vtec shifts. I was astounded. It was like a beast surged from the engine bay and threw me endlessly forward with each upshift. Before long, I looked at the speedo and I was happily on my way to 80mph. It was like a religious experience. I couldn't shut my mouth after. My jaw damn near hit the floor, and my eyes were bugging out of my skull. It was marvelous. I'm glad I waited for at least 600 miles, though. Thanks for the encouragement, everyone. I figure, hey, the manual said itself 600miles! Good lord the sound! It's freaking awesome! 'Can't wait til I get off work today. The drive home's gonna be even more fun.
