Never been in an S2k...
Long story short, I'm very interested in buying an S2000. I have been daydreaming about them for quite some time. I recently saw an Apex Blue Pearl example parked in the greater Los Angeles area, and it had the perfect wheel/suspension setup and hardtop. I was SO tempted to leave a note on the dash, but I'm sure the owner would never sell it. Maybe someday...
Here's my issue: I have never sat inside an S2k, and I have very little experience driving a stick. I'm also on the bigger side (around 6'3 240lbs), so I don't know if I fit. I would love some advice/suggestions about easing my way into a manual car and S2k ownership. Also, if anyone in the LA area would be gracious enough to let me sit in their car, I'll gladly buy you a cup of coffee and slide you a $20 for gas. All while wearing a mask and gloves, of course...

I'm 6'2" 165lbs, I wish it had a bit more leg room and could lower the seat a hair..but it does fit me pretty well..my inseam is 34inches....if your legs are much longer you might feel a little cramped. Also at lights I have too cock my head to the side to see under the windshield frame...Nice thing about the interior is the layout..everything is within easy reach..
6’2” maybe a shade less and 225. I installed BYS seat rails to lower the seat an inch. That helped a good bit. I also wear a 34” inseam, occasionally a 32”. I’m fine in the car and can drive it long distances. I feel I’m at the upper limit in size. Also being thinner may help. We sound proportionally similar I weight if you adjust for height. When I was 15 lbs lighter and fitter it made a difference.
I'm about 36-38 inseam, and XL in shirts. I've read about lowering the seat rails, but I've heard the non-adjustable steering/pedals can cause some trouble for bigger people. An example needs to pop up at a dealer near me!

Geez, guys, I claim 5'9" but I'm 5'8 on a good day and 170 pounds and feel like I'm wearing the car.
Find the seatbelt buckle is a daily game.
You need to try on the car and be prepared for some seat mounting modifications. I do have a bit of seat travel left but not much.

I’m 6’ 175lbs. I fit fine. However I had to install a BYS seat rail to lower the seat to fit comfortably with a helmet with the top (soft and hardtop). I recall when I first got the car, a nice guy came up to me asking about the car since it has just come out. I offered him to sit inside but he declined since he didn’t think he would fit. He was much taller than me and heavy set. Would have been interesting to see if he could fit.
I purchased my 2009 in another city sight unseen except for pictures. When the dealer picked me up at the airport two weeks later, it was the first time I had ever sat in an S2000 let alone drive it. Super fun drive back home, BTW. 2 days from Phoenix to Sacramento over the Sonora pass. I am 5' 11" 190lbs and I put the seat all the way back.
Ya spend the night in Vegas?
I'm curious how much of this road is 2-lane or non-interstate. Looking at the same stretch of road for 15 hours is brutal so I prefer the old US and state highways if there's time.
