Your car looks great! I've been fortunate enough to drive lots of high performance cars on road and track. And specifically ones similar to the S2k, like the Elise, 4c, and Cayman GT4. The stock S has its flaws - steering feel, stability at high speed corners to seating position too high for my tastes and being slightly underpowered. But all of that can be fixed in the aftermarket - mine is stage 1 supercharged, wider tires, lighter wheels, coils. For me personally the stock S2k probably wouldn't be my forever car - there are other cars (granted more expensive) that are better dynamically stock for stock. But set up properly and with Honda reliability? Yeah. I am keeping my S2k forever!

thank you! just a quick rebuttal: had an elise: simply too chaotic and cheap-feeling for a road car IMO. the 4c is too unreliable and not a stick shift. the GT4 is amazing, but more for the track — not the road. what i love about the s2k is that you can row through gears around town and have fun without hitting insane speeds.
the overall analog feeling and purity of the s2k (and the honda reliability) is pretty unbeatable. i've had porsches and M cars, as well as a few other fun all-arounders like the RX-8, golf R, mini, etc. THE S2K stands alone as the one i want to hop in 10 years from now — when all the stick shift cars have long since died off!

Totally fair and makes sense! Honda certainly made a one-of-a-kind car when they made the S2000!
I’ve owned over 50 cars in my life and have said the same thing about my S. Only thing I have to do is figure out who to leave it to in my will.
Funny, I just had my attorney update my trust and will. Told her I'm leaving my S2000 to my son. She asked if I think I'll really still have a 2004 car when I pass. I think she realized by my look.....that I will. I sent a digital copy of my trust and will to my son and daughter. My son has been washing the S2000 for me regularly lately!
You just know when a car is meant for you. When I took my first test drive in 2005, before I got off the lot, I KNEW the S2000 was THE car for me.
I have no kids so who will get it when I'm gone? Haven't a clue.
