oh and if you're actually interested seriously, email their 'internet sales' dept. you'll get everything wrapped up quickly that way, one way or the other. do NOT go back in and talk to one of their moron sales associates.

why the H-E double hockey sticks would you want to give them a FAIR price??? you should be trying to rip them off as bad as you can. demand 23K with a hard top stand and complimentry regular schedule service for the next year.

Not my style. I believe in fair's fair and treating other people like I want to be treated. I would rather pay a little more to keep everyone's dignity intact, including my own.

Heck, I could eat free for every meal out if I wanted to make a scene out of it and claim the meal was inadequate.

To each their own. I spent literally 8 minutes to get my $27,500 on the new 08 CR. If you told me I could save another $1000 by being a jerk, I still wouldn't do it.

don't gget me wrong. i'm not saying to be that type of person.
the dealer is gonna profit of the sale. thats a given. they won't sell it if they're not gonna make a profit off you.
i'm sure that the dealer is trying to as much money out of you as they can. so you should be trying to do the same to them. fight fire with fire so to speak.

bought my 08 CR at carmax. no haggle pricing. i'm sure i could have found a lower mileage one for a better price if i had searched more and did some major negotiating. but i didn't.

are my posts hypocritical? i guess i can see that. but i'm just trying to help the OP get the best deal he can. So, good luck eric!

some people don't want a non practical stiff riding no air conditioned no radio fixed roof convertible.

it depends on where the car is located. a CR in socal will sell a lot sooner then a CR in alaska.

Not fishy at all. Just bad timing. Mine was on the showroom floor for about that long (picked it up a few months ago). Had 31 miles on it. It's one of the earlier build dates. Some dealerships hung onto trying to sell at MSRP... then the economy crashed. They held out, hoping that someone would pick it up for that price... didn't happen. Finally, they caved and just took a loss to move the car before it depreciated further.

Ditto, mine sat on the showroom floor from 10/21/2007 until 04/08/2009. Had 68 miles on it.

Hate to high jack this thread but I am considering selling my 05 for a 2008 used cr (in socal). Got the dealer down to 27.8k + ttl - does anyone think this is a fair deal? (white with 8k miles) Im thinking more like 26k+ ttl but Im not sure if they will bite.
