New 2005 s2000
Hey guy's.
I am thinking of buying or leasing a 2005. Just wondering if you guys can help me out. How bad is the car in the winter. And can you fit 2 golf bags in the trunk?
Also i have a is300 now anyone here have both of them? How do they compare. I do not need 4 seats so that is not a problem. I do want something fast. As i have a bike that does under 10 in the track so i really hate not having some speed in the car.
The lease looks like 2000 down for all fees and 380 a month. Is that a good deal?
To buy looks like 30,000 before fees and tax.
This will be a weekend car but i would like to use it in the winter also.
Thanks for the help.

i don't think you can get two sets in the trunk
maybe one.. smaller bag.. no callaway..
fun car..
2k down.. and about 300 month.. on lease.. about right.
lower the miles to 12k and it will be cheaper.
if you have more than one car..
i have not had my car but for a short time.. i don't think it will do well in the snow.. i plan to park mine on bad days.. and drive the 4x4 silverado.
enjoy what ever you get..
i love my s

Just bought mine less than a month ago, the motor is starting to loosen up, and I like it ALOT
I bought mine, don't like leases. If I were going to lease, I would leased the NSX early this year, as they had a $599 lease special going at the time.

The lease would be 2000k to cover all fees and first month. Then 380 a month. Not 300 a month. Is 380 to much?
I like to lease just so if i dont like the car after 3 years i can just give it back and not have to worry about anything. If i like it i would just pay it off. I always what something new so its better for me to lease.

I based the figure's on 8.75 tax like my area
Pre tax you are $349 per month, that means you pay $50 x 35+ $1750 to reduce your drive off. Your real drive off is $3750.
Here is an example, $3k drive off and $299mo, that would be $750 less. This is what dealers try to do, increase your payment and reduce your drive off. Problem is they try to give you no benifit and sometimes charge more in the long run. Just so you know a $2k total drive off with $327.5 mo + tax( $356.15) x 35 still gives the dealer $800 over invoice based on an 8.75 rate. Next question will be if you have good credit.
As far as the IS300 it is a nice car, a buddy has one. If you only want a fast car there are faster cars than the S2K, it's a total package.

With winter tires and smart driving, you'll be fine in the snow. There is no way you're getting 2 golf bags in the trunk though, getting one into the trunk can be fun in itself. If you really needed to get 2 bags in, you can have them stick out, but it's easy to just bungee cord it down. I say go for the S, especially if you have a bike you'll love the engine when it screams through the rpm's. Good luck with your decision
