Default New 2006 Owner / Couple Questions...

I am a HAPPY owner of a new 06...

Just have a couple quick questions:

1) When I push the VSA OFF button, nothing lights up on the display. How am I supposed to know when the VSA is off or on??

2) I would like to change the OEM head unit to something a lot nicer. Will I still be able to use my dash stereo controls or will they be useless??

Thanks for the help!

Congrats on the purchase! I just picked up an '06 myself..

You have to hold down the VSA button. I think its a safeguard in case the driver accidentally hits it while driving.

The stereo controls will lose their functionality with an aftermarket head unit unless you get a harness.. which I'm not sure is available for this car or not.. someone else may be able to help you there.

Welcome!

2) Check out the Audio/Electronics FAQ and the question "Can I still use my dash controls with an aftermarket head unit?"

I would recommend using Modifry's DCI to connect the dash controls to your new head unit.
