I'm reading the May issue of motortrend, and on page 112 they had 7 aftermarket brake sets, 2 of which are for our car:
the brake man - http://www.thebrakeman.com
project (mu) - http://www.mackinindustries.com

the brake man's rotors are pretty radical.

mingster,

you beat me to the post. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any application information for our car (or any car for that matter) on those web sites. If you want info on the brake kits gonna have to call them, I guess.

Did you notice the prices though - about $3500 per 4 wheel set!

Richard:

Are you sure those are the only two companies (out of the seven) producing for the s2k? I seem to recall that those two had the S2000 as the latest application.

I have been working with Warren Gilliland ( Brake Man) since August . Last week the final production parts came in. Weather in Ohio on Saturday 84 degrees. Put in all the parts and today the first tests , so far every thing is working great. Calipers that I have on my car have about 33% more clamping force. Pads I am testing work up to about 1200 degrees. The pedal is the same as stock. Much less force is needed to bring car to stop from high speed, much easier to modulate brakes than stock, also seems to have less friction when you are not on brakes. Because calipers are racing units you sometimes hear brake pads rattle in caliper at slow speed . I have rotor paint comming to test kit and stock brakes. Anyone comming to Asheville will se-um first hand. This kit fits stock wheels (NO SPACERS) 12.19 dia. and reduces the weight in EACH wheel by 10lbs-5ozs !!!!!!!!! I am also going to have a couple S drivers , drive my car to get their opinions of system. This is a bolt-in kit and should be very reasonable . I have pictures of install, will try to post the next couple of days . This is just the start, the rear is next. Wild, wild , wild .

Working on costs now. Last item to be priced Custom bolts to mount adapter bracket and bracket to caliper . For now I am using high strength bolts that I cut to length. ARP is quoting on bolts . Price of kit will be under $2,000 complete , lines , rotors , calipers and all hardware .

$2000 is that for a front kit or all four corners.

Hmm.. I wonder what would be involved, if it were even possible, to move the front brakes to the rear when putting on an aftermarket kit up front.
