Default New car delivery

I'm taking delivery of my new S tomorrow morning I got it from one of our sponsors The Hard Top Guy. Great price and service. For Ganley Honda. This is my second S but I bought my 02 used. Anything specific about the break in period? How about the first oil change interval?

Jeff and Joe know there stuff and when you pick the car up just ask them their suggestions and any questions you may have.

possible responses from:

Jeff: No vtec until 600 miles or 6 hours what ever comes first !

Joe: Drive the crap out of it now!

Thanks for the responses. I'm from Seattle. Flying in tonight and take delivery first thing in the morning. I was under the impression that there was practical advice that wasn't in the owner's manual like oil weight etc.

The best soure of info I've found about all things mechanical for the S is the FAQ and Oil Journals of the "Technical" forum sub heading to "Under the Hood". Massive Kudos to everyone who put hard work and DIY's in there.

If you are going to drive it back to Seattle on highway you should varying engine speeds, do not drive with constant speed. Also, you should have 1 quart of high quality conventional oil, so that you can top off if needed on the way home from Ohio.

I just made the drive last week - in an 02 Chevy Cavalier. 36 hours from Philadelphia to Seattle area. Roads are a bit rough in places and great in others. 5 over doesn't even get you looked at and that's at 75 posted. Good luck!
