Thumbs up New car odometer

I got two offer from dealer, one is 15.3 miles other one is 20 miles. What should the mileage be on a new car? How many have you got on your new S2000? Thanks!

Thats about right. Honda test drives the cars before they reach the dealers.

edit: plus test drives at the dealership.

There's a thread about this somewhere. I've heard of people getting their cars with fewer than 10 miles. I had 63 when i got my car....lots of test drives, but got a smokin' deal.

Acceptable for 15 miles, but 20 miles for dealership test drive kind of too much...

15 is ok but 20 isnt?
Where is the cutoff?

"I'm sorry Mr. Salesman, this car has 16 miles on it, you may have destroyed the car with your testdrives. If it had 15, I would take it."

When you consider loading onto the transport trucks, unloading, driving to the lot, positioning, moving the car around for display purposes, doing initial inspections when arriving at a dealer, plus all the previous testing done before being shipped out, mileage could vary greatly. You could assume 1 or 2 dealer testdrives in that kind of low mileage, maybe. Is that going to ruin the car for you? Hunt another one down instead then.

Most brand new cars that come off the truck have between 6-9 miles on them. Considering getting the car filled with fuel and what not 15-20 miles is a reasonable number.
