Default New console cover design being finalized: snaps and tape are out!

In finalizing the version of our leather console cover that uses the stock snaps, we had a moment of inspiration and have developed a design that requires no tape and no snaps.

I can't reveal the details until we have them completely checked out, but suffice it to day that it should fit tautly and smoothly and be easy to remove, if need be.

As we were preparing the final pre-production models, we were troubled by the snap design because were concerned that people will brake the stock snaps (they're cheap plastic) and have to be bothered with the annoyance of getting replacments. Plus, the snap design proved to be unecessarily complicated and required stiffening the sides of the cover, which adds to to bulk where there is little room for any.

So if you ordered either the snap or tape version of our console cover and haven't received it yet, please bear with us for another week. When we begin production, all outstanding orders will get the new version.

No way -- I hate that stuff. It's actually a solution so simple it was staring us in the face and we didn't see it

Velcro goes flat and duct tape dries up, but VTEC goes on forever!

Wow..almost just pulled the trigger on one of these covers...now I have to wait some more

Rick, if I buy some stuff from you, is there any way to get it shipped to a PO Box or failing that
maybe ReedZ can take delivery and I can pick them up from him? I'm not far from him but I don't
know if he'd be willing to do that or not.

Your thoughts?

I go through two roles of duct tape a week -- I eat the stuff for breakfast

Ludedude, we can ship to PO boxes, but I'm sure Reedz would not mind arranging a pcik up at this place or somewhere else.

Rick... You are killing me! I ordered a console cover with snaps a couple weeks ago... I don't mind waiting for a high quality replacement for my "carpet", but what's the new design? I'm sure it's good, but I must know what it is! It's hurting my brain trying to guess... Please tell me!!! Tell me now!!!!

We're not revealing the trick until two prototypes have been installed. Two are being made now and should be on cars for testing this week. We'll post photos then.

Jim Schmidt came up with idea, incidentally. It's so simple it's brilliant.
