Hi guys,

Im new here and just got my s2000 yesterday and was excited to take it for a spin. The car was great. Couldn't have made a better decision than to buy the s2000. But all in all there were a couple of things that i found weird about the car or there were issues that i in countered. I don't know if it was suppose to be like that or anything but i hope you guys could help me out a bit.

Well the first thing that really did bug me was that big ass blind spot on the passenger side. It was so hard for me to back out of a parking spot not being able to see if there were any cars coming. Is there a solution to that? or you just have to get use to it?

Also i've noticed that when i put the soft top down it doesn't go all the way down? why is that? Is it casue of the weather or is it cause my car is broken? Same with the temp? I got the car as a US car and was wondering if its possible to change the temp from showing fahrenheit to celsius? And the biggest thing that really did bug me was that there is no auto unlock from inside the car to unlock the passenger side door. i would have to lean over to unlock it. Is there a switch somewhere that i missed over looked?

But all in all the car was great. Enjoyed every minute in it. Couldn't have asked for a better car =)

Any help would be good as well

Thanks guys

Welcome,

As for the Blindspot, You just check both left and right mirrors and the Rear View Mirror, then back out slowly to at least give people a change to dive out of the way.

For the soft top, you probably have a couple of elastic straps broken. With the top up, look up and check if you have any loose straps. they usually connect to the long bars that go accross and can easily break.

Not too sure about changing the temperature though..

Hope this helps and I'm just a nub so please get a second opinion.

The blind spot takes some getting used to. The only solution is to drop the top.
The top has a tendancy to sit up a bit in colder weather. Give it a very gentle push. There are bands that wear out and cause this as well, but yours is an '07 so I doubt that's the problem. Most people complain about the power unlock thing. Without a lot of modification, you just have to reach. But not too far! It's quirky car in some ways so just enjoy it.

Really nothing much to do with the blindspot except getting a hardtop. I just had to get used to it. Even now, when it rains, I literally can't see anything.
