New gem..
Just picked up an 01 with 55k from a 71 year old who purchased it new in 00. Car is showroom new, has never seen rain and according to him has never been revved past 7k. It was broken in correctly, as it burns ZERO oil and gets 33mpg (got 348 miles out of one tank and still had a bar). Is it going to hurt it now to be revved to 9k??
Sounds like a great find. However, I'll never understand how anyone who owns an S2000 would never take it to redline. ????
That's what it was meant for! So it's your turn now to make up lost time, or should I say lost Revs !!!!

Just curious
I revved my 02' to 9k daily at over 100k miles, no issues. I couldn't pass this one up for the price; It's literally showroom inside and out, only blemish is where the front plate mount was, which will be fixed next week when I throw an AP2 bumper on the front. And the miles (regarding the gas mileage) were 99 percent highway, driving home from where I bought it.
This is also the first S I've seen that doesn't have cold-start piston slap, which is nice as well

. I could always make one myself, may do that... And this thing is so close to new that there would be no problem matching paint on it, guaranteed
