Default New Intergrated Button Honda Keys

Does anyone know if a dealer can program the new Honda keys that have all the buttons intergrated into the key to work with the S2000?

Can't be done unfortunately. It's been discussed. The frequencies are different.

Anyone know why Honda made the S2000 key fob separate? Makes no sense to me.

Integrated keys weren't around at that time. I guess they didn't bother integrating it after since no one's not going to buy the car because of the ugly civic alarm fob.

Redesigning anything costs alot of money...they're already losing money on the S2k...why would they bother?

edit: honda/ acura didn't have integrated key fobs until recently. Mercedes had integrated key fobs in 95, audi in 98, bmw in 92, and back in 91' my parents ls400 had an integrated button in the key head to lock/unlock the doors.

it's not just the key, you forgot to mention the whole immobilizer and ecm thingie.

honda knows they will not gain/loss sale just because of the key fob, and i think most of us agree on that as well. if i am looking for luxury/techie/cool item, i would be driving an amg benz

yea, but they put in the VSA and drive-by-wire into the light selling 06-07 models, which was vastly more complicated than making a new key.
