Default New Leather?

Went to the tax preparer earlier and I'm getting way more back than I thought I was.

Anyone know about how much it costs to get your seats recovered? Someone tried to steal my seats and when they couldn't (homemade seatlocks), they just slashed them up instead.

I also figured I'd get the door inserts done while I was at it.

I am no too sure but i would assume that you could buy some used s2000 seats in great condition for cheaper than it would cost to recover them.
You can get ap1 seats from $300-$600. I would assume recovering them would far exceed that.

jpmcoachworks.com has amazing leather seat covers, but you need to have a professional install them unless you are handy with this stuff. They cost about $1,300 for the set, they look amazing. Cost no object I'd get these, and JPM is a great company to deal with.

On the cheaper side I run Clazzio seat covers from Gotuning.com , for $249 a set they look an feel much nicer than the price suggests. Leather centers and vinyl sides, with some padding. I love them and they are easy to install.

I would just either buy used oem seats or the Clazzio seat covers. If lots of money I would get custom ones done at a reputable upholsterer.

I have been known to do custom and iem style seats. You will usually spend more in completely new upholstery then if you buy oem stock seats. PM me a few pics of what you have right now and i can talk to you about which direction you might want to do.

Yeah, I'm kind of wary about buying OEM seats because there's a good chance that they were stolen (my original seats were stolen and I saw them up on ebay and Craigslist, the cops didn't care), and I don't want to give the bastards any reason to go do it to anyone else!

I got the seats I have now out of a wrecked S2k at a yard in Seattle. If I could make sure they're legit, sure.

I'm willing to pay for quality work. The Clazzio covers only come in black/red, right? I want all red again, or an all-red front with a black back.

Cool, my car's in a shop right now getting paintwork done, but I'll swing by and see if I can snap a couple pics of the driver's seat (the passenger's just has normal wear).

More than new seats if done by a pro using the correct grade of leather.

Try leatherseats.com. Not sure if they do the S2K or not, but I bought some for another car and installed myself. Great leather, good price, and about a couple hours work per seat.
