Default The New M-Roadster..wow!!!

before i start..this is not a race nor a slam on any car!!

that new m-roadster is amazing...there is a lot to be said for what bmw did with this new engine..it is amazing, and sounds great...the interior is typical bmw...and in my opinion, the car didn't feel as tight as our car..it seemed a little softer, but i know it destroys us on the track!! only mess with those guys if you have a supercharger!!
i asked the bmw performance center this weekend if there was a way to tell if it is a new engine or old one, and they said that you can only tell if the customer gets those two new colors: laguna seca blue and pheonix yellow..be careful guys..that thing is a rocket..

They also have darker wheels and a grey faced guage cluster instead of black -- and they also sound a bit different.

In the case of a friend in St Louis recently -- 41k out the door -- and there have been a couple sold for around 40. Not bad considering the massive leap in performance for an additional 8 grand -- and probably cheaper than some of the suckers paid when the S2000 was introduced.

Wow! That's below invoice, according to Kelly's Blue Book .

All this time I thought people were still fighting to get them at MSRP.

Yes the trick is to find one of the remaining 2001's.

I don't think the car would destroy an S2000 on the track -- in fact it's close enough that I'd call it a battle of driver ability and wits.

M- roadster is sweet no question. But if it was my 42k+ I would sink it into a new Vette. More power, easier to live with on a daily basis. If you could find a roadster for 40K that would be a great deal but even at that price the S2000 is a better bang for the buck.
