$4700? As stated above, what a deal. I'd do it. Many Hondas tick, but it was definitely a good idea to get the car inspected and to have a leak compression test. Those #s look OK, though someone with more experience will likely check in.

If you like it, then buy it, especially at that price.

Awesome price. Compressions seems decent being a 10yr old car. Ticking noise...it can be anything but Hondas tend to have some ticking. If it really bothers you, I would look into finding out exactly what the cause is. If everything else checks out, go for it.

I think I heard that if you fail smog twice, the car needs to be disposed in a year or what is the real deal behind it?

However, she didn't really drive the car hard enough to warm up the cats so maybe it failed?

Any suggestions?
Considering the absolute bargain-basement price, you should be able to spend a few bucks and have either a mechanic or a Honda dealer give you an estimate to fix whatever caused the smog fail if you don't want to diagnose and fix yourself.

I find it hard to imagine a state being so retarded that it wouldn't allow you to fix a car in order to meet smog requirements even if it failed twice.

At that price, it sounds like a number of folks on the forum would be interested. I'd sure think about i

What's up with the screen name? I opened the thread expecting to see SPAM or an advertisement for Viagra.
