The other day I accidentally started driving off without having the E-Brake fully released. In less than 10 feet of travel there was this beeping in the cockpit that I'd never heard before. I looked down, realized that the BRAKE light was still on, released my E-Brake, and the beeping stopped.

Is this new? I'm not complaining of course... saved me from a lot of unnecessary brake wear!

ARG! I wish I had that feature! I let someone drive my car and they left the parking break up! So now i've got more wear than necessary on my back brakes

I had one occasion where I released the parking break on my 03 but it wasn't down all the way. It was just one click up but enough for the red "Brake" light to show up, didn't hear any beeping though. Guess the 04's have a couple more toys in it. Wonder when people will find a new secret compartment

Yeah it has the beep for the E-brake, and for the SeatBelt warning. Drive the car more than a few feet with the seatbelt undone and it starts beeping at you. Found this out driving through my storage yard.
