Default New owner, got a MY03

Wuddup with it yall. I is 17 years old and I got myself a truckin S2k dizzle.

Enough with that. I picked up an S2000 this morning and I just love this car. I drove about 30 miles to pick it up in Hoffman Estates, IL. I know I'm young and all, but I've been reading about this car and been on this website for over 3 years. This is my first RWD car and I will be getting driving lessons soon that way I don't spin out in front of anyone. I know not to lift off the throttle or brake in the middle of a fast turn so I should be good with that. I don't really drive fast on the street anyway.

My car before this was a Mazda 626 5-speed which I've driven for a year and a half. My S2000 has 2,600 miles on it and got it for $25000. I've been working at a Honda dealership for a while (1 year) and I have my own mechanic who will do some maintenence stuff for free. I've been saving up for the car for over a year and had a goal of $10000 for a down payment. I reached it and now I have it. I'm doing all the payments, only thing my dad did was get the car for me and I have an APR of 3.74%.

I just love this car and it feels great to join the community. Hopefully I'll see some of you guys on the road. I'll post some pics up later, I gotta head out to work.

I can't tell if you are serious, or responding to this thread:

In either case, check it out. It's an interesting thread.

If you are serious, then check out the Upper Mid-West forum for events around your area and welcome.

Finally got some pictures uploaded. THese pics were taken from my camera hpone so they might not be so good. The first pics were of my car before the S2000.

I proved so many people wrong yesterday when I pulled up in my car at work. They thought I was playing around and now are saying they could have helped me get a better deal. Anyway, it was raining hard around 6 and I was scared since it was my first day with the S and I've read a lot of posts about people spinning their cars out. I got off work at 9 and the car drove really good, probably better than my 626. I love the HIDs too. I like how they cut into trees and just how bright they are, I can actually see a lot of stuff at night. At work, I get free oil changes and my mechanic said he'll change my differential fluid for free when I want him to and my electronics guy will be installing my audio equipment for free.

Cool. Check the diff fluid ASAP. There are some who have changed as early as 3,000 mi and it was ugly stuff. I did mine at about 6,000mi.

Thats a great deal on the audio install, because it IS a PITA to do on this car.

I remember when my car looked just like that.

Wait, acutally no I don't remember when it looked like that anymore!

Hey, there's an old pic!

1. Your in over your head kid. S2K's and 17 year olds are not a good mix. I don't blame you. I blame your parents. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?
2. Go enroll at your local community college in an english class. You need it. Want some respect? Learn to speak properly. It will get you alot farther than any car ever will.

I think Tommy made this point for you in the reverse.

I know if I had an S2000 when I was 17 I would have killed myself, but that doesn't give me the right to attack this guy. Chill out, Tommy. Your post sounds VERY hostile.
