Default New owner in PA

Hey guys,

New owner here in PA. had a couple of questions I didn't get to ask the seller when I bought it. MY2000 Silverstone/Black 87k

1. Is there a "boot" or something that covers the space when the roof is folded down? I have a picture (think its from this site) that has one on the car. Just wondering if this was an option or what?

2. It appears the lights that light up the temp control knob are burned out. at night i cannot see the colors of blue/red for the heater temp control. I've downloaded a copy of the manual from hondahookup but I wanted to check and see if they indeed are supposed to light up before I take apart the dash.

3. Air injection? WTF lol... this is used to give LEV when the car is warming up right? I was confused at first when i heard the noise lol.

4. The SRS light was on when i bought it. Since then I followed instructions in manual to reset the light. Since then hasn't come back on. I read the TSBs about the SRS light, did anyone else have this prob?

Overall very happy with the car! Thanks for the help guys!

Vinyl, not leather.

1. Vinyl cover came standard. It tri-folds down and fits in the trunk. I never use it. There was an aftermarket cloth one sold, but it looks boxy like an old 993 cabrio cover.

2. No lights for HVAC except for fan speed and defrost.

Thanks for the quick replies....

No light for the heat? thats weird, cool thanks for saving me the trouble of taking the dash apart lol.

As for the boot, is there a place in the trunk that its stored? I only saw the spare tire cover and the jack and stuff... Me thinks I didn't get it with the car.

it looks cool, is it that much a PITA to put on?

Where at in Atown? I'm over by South mall and Alton Park.

I'll make a poll for you. It's enough of a PITA that almost nobody uses it.

Cool, thanks guys...

Yeah I'm familiar with Reading - did plenty of bridge inspections out there when I was an intern in college at PennDOT. Did one right on 422 warren street bypass over railroad tracks if I remember correctly lol... Tied up traffic for hours lol

Yeah maybe I just forget about the boot since it seems to be a PITA...

s2krally - thanks for the offer... lemme think about it.

I have never once tried fitting my boot on my car. Anytime I'm going somewhere with the top down long enough to necessitate the boot the trunk is full of stuff and then where to you store it when you have to put the top up?
