Default new owner saying hi....

picked her up today

still break in period, so can't tell how she compares to my fd (94 rx-7). initial thoughts...

the newest is nice....
the suspension is good for daily driving, not as stiff as the teins on the fd
steering feels a little tighter, probably due to being a brand new car...
seating position is better...i'm a short guy and the s2000 fits me better than the fd...steering wheel is smaller, seating position is higher
i prefer the old style gauges of the fd, but both cars have that "you're in a jet cockpit" feel

Congrats and welcome to the board ! Make sure you read the owners manual and search the boards for break-in techniques. Hope you enjoy it as much as most of us do. Goodluck!

Also, from what I read on the boards, a few members have claimed that the 03's have the S-02's inflated at 40psi. You can do the recommended (32) or 36 psi to save some tread life. One more thing to check is if your spring spacers are still in place. HTH.

Welcome to S2Ki. Beautiful car you have there. Remember to register your VIN number here on S2ki.com so that it will show you as an owner, and not just as an enthusiast.

didn't even think about the 04 model...very impulsive buy...but even if i had thought about it, probably would have been a no go....04 probably would be hard to get/markup(?), plus from the other thread it seems like it's more driver friendly, which in general is not what i want

I love it, I got a GPW/tan&black on 07/18/03. Make sure they gave you the "caps" for the front license plate holder holes. I had to ask for mine. The Honda tech who prepped the car threw them away. I have a great dealer though. They ordered me a set, quickly. Have fun.
