Default New Plugs -- peppier??!!

Yesterday I had my new plugs installed at my dealer. I drove out of the lot and immediately noticed that the car was running smoother and accelerated better. Wow! Talk about a cheap mod!!! Has anybody else experienced this?

Smoother idling and less apt to stumble coming to a stop, especially with iridium plugs.

My tech explained to me as a "little hotter" plug.

No, they are still platinum. As far as anyone can tell, the new plugs are basically the same as the old plugs but with a slightly different crush ring. This new crush ring may not necessarily be by design or intent but simple a natural evolution of NGK spark plugs.

Nothing wrong with that! I'm familiar with that tune myself.
