I am currently having the same problem and was about to post till I read this. I also thought it was the differential. Its a funny feeling, I have drivin with misaligned cars but this just feels like the power is being pushed differently, It could just be me and it could be the alignment issue. The thing is, It was perfectly fine the night before then I woke up and went out to drive and it started feeling like that instantly . I might have to also take it in

Are your spring spacers still installed?

the "shimmy" in the car sounds extremely familiar to what I experienced a few months back. One of my rear tires was losing pressure, even the slighest difference in pressure will cause this to occur.

I really can not speak to the alignment issues that you have had, I have had my car for over a year, completely stock and have not had any issues with the car.

1fastminivan, if you take yours in please update with what they find, I will do the same. As for the pot hole, it was not that big but with the stiff suspension on the car I can not tell. They are doing road work near my house and one day the road will be fine and the next, a lovely new cliff will be there. If it it is/was damage then the city will be paying for whatever needs to be done, and they will!

Anyways, the car goes to the dealer on Tuesday, I am hoping that the steering wheel issue is because of an electronic alignment being done and not a manual one (as mentioned before). The Regional service manager who I spoke with yesterday said that that issue could be fixed by adjusting the tie rods, hopefully he is correct.

As for this "shimmy problem" I agree with what others have said, it feels like incorrect torque being put down. Also, I have the stock perellies on the car and they have over 5k (the dealer replaced all of them at one point last year in an attempt to fix the steering issue).

If they can not fix these issues, has anyone dealt with Honda and Lemon issues before? This is a lease and I either want a new S or out of my lease. Does anyone think the ods are very good for this to happen or does Honda not like to do these types of things?

I'll post any updates I get from the dealer next week for sure though!

A simple tie-rod adjustment and you hitting a pothole means the S sucks, I'm sorry, sux? What world are you living in and what kind of cars do they drive there?

Also, I have the stock perellies on the car
Stock Pirellis? The S2000 does not use Pirellis. Doesn't the '04 use Bridgestones?

JonasM, you are right, Bridgestone Potenzas RE050, unless they use different tires in other countries

Are both rear tires equal in tread wear? I picked up a nail once and had the rear tire replaced (only had one in stock at the time), with only 3/32'' diameter difference, it drove like CRAP!!. With equal pressure it would still go left/right left/right etc... I had the other tire replaced A.S.A.P the next day and it drove great. Just a thought, good-luck.
