New Recall?

From the Honda Japan web site, it appears that only 329 S2000s are involved (out of 100,571 cars total being recalled). I don't read Japanese, but it is fairly easy to figure out what the page is saying. The S2000s involved in the recall have VIN in the range AP1-1102211 to AP1-1102550 (manufactured in January to March of 2001).
This does not look like a design problem with Honda itself, it is probably due to a batch of bad parts (the wheel bolts) from some sub-contractor.

You should check your wheel bolts for play.
I had new wheels put on a Nissan NX in 90 and about a week later I got this clicking sound. In about half and hour it got progressively worse so I put the car on a hoist and started checking things like the diff and CV's. Didn't even think to look at the wheels.
Turns out some of the wheel bolts were either loose or over tightened and sheared off. I had two broken studs, one stud holding and the fourth and final stud had worn the hole in the wheel to double it's size. I gave myself about another 5km before the wheel came off.
Needless to say, the wheel house paid for a new wheel and studs and repaired the lot.
