Default new S2000 or 99 Porsche C2

a bit apples and oranges.. but anyway, if you had a choice of a new S2k vs 1999 porsche 996 C2 w/ 40k miles for $30k, which would you pick?

S2000.

If you're talking 993 C2S however, then it'd be a more difficult choice for me.

If you have the $$$ to keep up on the maintenance of the Porsche, it is a no-brainer. The Porsche is superior in EVERY WAY! Yes, I have an S2000 and I love it dearly but there really is no comparison between the 2 cars. I have spent quite a bit of time driving a C4 and I would give up my S in a heartbeat for the Porsche.

Since everyone does in fact have this choice and since everyone here has an S2000 I can't think of a more redundant question.

I still don't get it. You drive an S2000 but could have bought a used Pcar for the same price but you didn't. Now you say that given the chance to do it again you would have made a different choice?

You say: Id go with the Porsche and do all the maintanence yourself to keep costs down. but you didn't so you're either lying saying that you would do one thing but do another or you regret not buying a used Pcar instead of your S2000 or you mean to say "You should" rather than "I would". Not sure which it is.

If you didn't own an S2000 then I could understand your response but since you do, or claim to, I don't understand what you are saying.
