Default New S2000, now I need a Comptech blower!

I want to pick up a new Comptech blower W/ AFTERCOOLER for my new 2005 S2000. Any suggestions on where to get one and the best price to pay? I have a knowledgeable friend to help me install it, so that won't be a problem.

Any advice please?

hardtopguy
Gruppe-S

Both have good prices and great customer service...

If you do some research you might even be able to find something lower if you got some connections...

I'll vouch for Jeff and Joe at Hardtopguy.com. E-mail off their website works best. If you need immediate assistance, call 1-800-342-8158 and ask for Parts. Once there, ask for Jeff. Don't bother leaving VM.

Try Tom at Gruppe-s. They may still be able to get you their group buy price. I checked, hardtopguy would have taken a loss to sell me a comptech sc at their group buy prices with shipping.

Thanks, xviper. That was my bad.

Well, I'm in contact with a few of these vendors. Thank you for the information.

Anyone that has had one, presuming you don't thrash the clutch, will the stock one hold up? Are different spark plugs necessary? I'm going to be running stock boost and I'm getting the aftercooler. I need it to hold up to some high speed track days that I'm going to participate in.

No problemo! That's what I'm here for.

I've had a Vortech for about 20K miles and over 2 years now. My OEM original clutch is still holding fine. It all depends on how you treat the car.

You don't really "need" differenct spark plugs as long as they are relatively in good condition. However, you will need to gap them closer for F.I. application. I ran the OEM platinum plugs for a good part of a year and they worked fine. Then I tried NGK copper racing plugs and now I have Iridium plugs (one heat range colder) and quite frankly, I can't tell the difference. The big difference will come in terms of longevity of the plug.
