Default New S2000 Owner

Hey everyone, I just got back from the dealer with my 00 S2000. It has only 10k miles on it and I got it for 19K. It was just a damn good deal and they got 10K for my Montero and cash with the rest. I just love this thing, it is so different from my Nissan 240sx that I had. Sure it doesn't have the extra kick that mine had with turbo, but this thing is fun as hell. Need to go back so they can replace my rear strut cause its klunking on me. No biggy, the rest of the car is just awesome with factory front lip, sides, and wing. Can't wait to see it in the day tomorrow. Well, i'm out, laters.

buying a 2 year old 2003 saves you close to $10000.

buy a 2005 and the car will fall $10000 in 2 years. you will owe a good bit more than it is worth most likely.

used makes a LOT of sense. I bought new once. the depreciation was depressing, and it was an INTEGRA. Imagine if I had bought a Cavalier or something instead!

thanks guys for the welcome.

This is my 2nd car that I have bought with my own money. First my was 240sx and I did all the so call "JDM" stuff with SR20DET, FMIC, and so on.

Hopefully I can do one or two mods before I go to Univeristy.

Steven975, hey man your in Melbourne? Freakin awesome, come on over to http://www.brevardmotorsports.org/forum/ its a local car club we have for like 4 years. Not sure if you heard of the shows we put called Car's For Charity. We help by making a car show and then we give all the money we make to the Cancer Care Foundation in Melbourne. Its a awesome club and I can use another S2000 owner cause i'll be the only one there haha. I'm going to a local car shop grand opening if you want to come too. Its free and theres free food. PM with details if you want to go.

Thanks again for the welcomes.

Oh, ps... I have that awful decelartion buzz that I been coming up with when I search. But I'm not sure if its the same. Its a loud buzz and I can feel it on the clutch pedal. Its like on any gear when I let go of the gas pedal is makes that loud buzzing noise, but once I push in the clutch or I give it gas it goes right away. But in 6th gear, it doesn't make the noise (or just not as much). Just wanted to comfirm if this is the same buzzing noise that everyone is getting mostlly in the 00-01 S2000. Anyway to fix it? Thanks again

If the buzz is when you're decelerating between 4000 and 3000 rpm, that's it. It's loudest in the lower gears, goes away if you accelerate, push in the clutch, or take it out of gear.

Mine sounds like a %&$^ing Yugo when I have the top up. Fortunately, I only drive it on nice days, so the top is seldom up and its not so noticeable with the top down.
