Default New S2K owner - Introducing myself

Just wanted to say hi. I just bought a S2000 and I must say I'm loving every minute of it. I must have driven back and forth though the same area today about 10 times. I now have red ears and arms and can't seem to wipe this stupid grin off my face

I must say I wished my wife liked it as much as I. One day soon I hope to not have to sleep on the couch. I just hope when that day comes and she finally drives the car she doesn't do to it what she did with my TIVO. Once she learned how to use that TIVO remote, I never saw it again and she can stretch a 30 minute show into and hour or more

Bought it used....2001 / 21k miles. Looks like it was driven off the showroom floor just today. It is so clean I could eat off it. And as mad as my wife is, I just might have too

Congratulations on your purchase.

Hopefully your wife will soon learn to love the S.

It took a while, but my girlfriend went from hating the car to absolutely loving it.

Welcome and congrats!

Some quick tips;

1. check out profile and options sections of the website to set things in there that you are comfortble with people seeing.

2. Go to the clubs page and put a post up in your local area's s2000 club forum I think you'd be Bay Area... unless there is another one closer to fremont. .

3. Have fun

Feel free to PM me if you get any questions about your new "baby" . If i dont know the answer (mostly wouldnt ) I can point you at the right direction to find an answer.

That smile will never go away. I'm sure your wife will come around. Just give her a few rides during this upcoming Fall season and you'll be fighting over the keys. On the other hand, maybe the TIVO for the S2k is a good trade. Just kidding.

A few things I would do.
  • Change the oil (engine, tranny, diff) as soon as you can to establish a baseline.
  • Use the SEARCH function. This site probably has the most S2000 related information anywhere. If you can't find it here, post your question and it will be answered.
  • Join your local S2k group. They will be glad to have another owner join in their activities. California seems to have some active groups. Go out and share their fun.
  • Make www.s2ki.com your homepage.

Sleeping on the couch? Who do these women think they are? That's enough to make me go out and buy another! That'll teach her.
