Ah yes, yet another asthetic modification. Pls no "what? no airbag?" comments. I did the same mod with my Spyder and it turned out to make the driving experience more enjoyable plus it opened up tons of leg room and made heel/toe driving and clutch/brake work much easier to accomplish, inherently making the car SAFER to drive. Anyways, here are my choices. I had the Simoni Racing black carbon fiber X2 wheel (shown below) in the MR2-S. It comes with shift lights which are fully operational and the two switches can be used for horn and nitrous (if applicable).
The Simoni Racing X2 is 300mm which as you can see, is very tiny and has that F1-vibe. I always drive in the 9:3 position so the wheel was very comfortable when I had it in the Spyder. However, because it was carbon fiber-esque, the surface was a tad slippery in REALLY hot weather, so I applied clear powder to it which took care of THAT problem. If I went with the X2, I'd go with their latest inox silver leather shown above in the poll.
The Isotta offerings look very sharp as well and have that popular D-shape, as does the classy new Trek wheel from Momo. I'd go blue with that choice.
OK guys...let those opinions rip!
Thanks!

Oh I forgot....who will be the first one to say the mid-section of the carbon fiber X2 wheel looks like something Batman would use? I prefer to think of it as paying homage to my two giant Maine Coon Cats!

Of those choices I'd go with the Vallelunga. There's something about the lines of it that I just think look pretty cool.

I actually had the Momo Millenium in the Spyder before changing over to the Simoni X2. The Millenium is a great wheel as well with a fat grip but an all-black wheel isn't my cup o' tea anymore though this Momo is a nice one. I also am leaning towards the first Isotta. It's got that Z8 vibe and has just enough aluminum bracing to set off nicely against the silver carbon fiber dash.

I prefer wooden steering wheels but it could be my age showing.

I like wood too, good design is good design. That simoni, with its snail stalk eyes looks neat, and if I could have 1.2 turns lock to lock it would be nice, but I think, (and that might be dangerous) that in the lock to lock world of autocross, the change of profile would be wierd.
