new superchager
My local performance shop told me that ENDYNE will be coming out with a supercharger for the S2000.. They already have one for the 2.0l accord... There Civic SI supercharger gives the SI 400 Horsepower and 350ft. lbs of torque... however VTEC is eliminated with this supercharger.. but with a 400 horsepower civic i dont think you'll mind.. imagine what it will be for the s2k..... the web site is www.theoldone.com.... here is a pic of one companies supercharger compared to ENDYNE's...
No offense to Endyne, but they just seem like a bunch of engineers who talk alot of vaporware. I have yet to see a kit from them for anything. I have heard that they will "modify" the Jackson Racing blowers though.
I really think the problem is that you just can't boost 23 psi without some engine tuning with some high tech equipment (besides programming a custom ECU). Even if you could get it within tolerances, you would have to test on every engine/ECU combo there is. That's alot of overhead cause they are planning for just about every Honda engine.
But hey, if someone came out with a Supercharger/drop in ECU for under 7K that could boost 23PSI, I'm sure alot of people would jump on it. There is probably a reason why this has not happened yet and Endyne is learning that the hard way.

I know Jackson normally uses Eaton but it's my understanding they dropped the project after they were not satisfied with the results.
Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I was one of the guys lined up to purchase one after they gave everyone the idea it would be out very soon (last year).

Dave, were you expecting a kit from Jackson, or Endyn? I've talked to Oscar several times and he continually reiterates "no plans for the S2000", but some of the sales folk at Moss seem to have said otherwise. I know Endyn is really famous for vaporware, or at least really delayed releases (although their project cars have been seen and ridden in by several folk who were very impressed).
Personally, for a street S2K, I'd love an Eaton or Whipple based system (the whipples tend to be more efficient anyway). Instant torque with a pretty good top end.
