New Suzuka Blue S2000 Owner!
Good evening everyone, I'd like to share with you all my newest purchase to the stable. She's a 2003 Suzuka blue on suzuka blue AP1 S2000 with 88k miles on the clock. She's lowered on Neuspeed lowering springs with AP2 shocks, invidia test pipe, K&N intake, and a really well put together sound system (Pioneer head unit with Kicker speakers and sub) I am coming from a LONG line of BMWs, this is my first Honda. I've been an active forum member for years now, but over at the BMW community. I bought the car because I traded in my sports daily driver E46 sedan, bought a 135i coupe, decided I didn't want something so expensive, but my criteria were: Had to be a fun car to own, fast would be nice, good gas mileage, good reliability, appealing looks. I stumbled across this very nice looking S2000 and I have to say that I am very satisfied with my decision. However, I have to disclaim that I don't know for JUST how long I'll be sticking around. Since I've become stationed down here in Florida I've decided that I would like to try to get a taste of a bunch of different brands / countries vehicles in a buy & restore & sell on to the next project kind of manner. The S2k does need some work, and here is a list of what I intend on doing.
I'd like to fix the exhaust. Its MUCH too loud for me. Essentially its stock headers, invidia test pipe, stock Y pipe converted to a single where the other end is a straight dump off. So needless to say it is LOUD especially when just daily cruising. I'd like to do new tires so I can really push the car through corners, I'm going to use sound deadening material on MOST of the entire trunk / interior beneath the interior pieces to reduce road noise and reduce sound system vibration. I'm going to restore the headlight lense to almost brand new clarity, replace the rear view mirror that is currently not present, and lastly address the faint smell of burnt oil when coming to stop lights after being above 3-4k rpm for a while. Maybe a VCG etc, as there are zero wet spots or drops under the engine or on the parking lot. What I'll be looking for next I'm not sure, but for now I'm going to enjoy the crap out of this car and really see what Japan built by hand as their prized roadster.

That is amazing how similar our storylines are! If you wouldn't mind, would you share your comparison of the S to the E36? I'd been considering an e36 M3 in the midst of this as well! Thank you for a warm welcome
