Ya but the Tracey looks like it will actually do something.

The Toda looks like a straight pipe with a tiny canister so they san say its a cat.
what much more do you think a race cat would do from another? there are no moving pieces, it's just the name that costs +$700 more

so long as it passes emissions and doesn't lose power
Good thinking! Just like the OEM cat you've already got

I don't see the need for the eye roll - what's wrong with trying out a higher flow cat that could potentially make gains, while still passing emissions?

Quite frankly, I think I am doing the community a service by using my car and money as the guinea pig for a brand new product.

The tree huggers are always gonna come out in threads like this.

In all honesty I would run that in a heartbeat if we could pass emissions with it, but since I can't, I just run a TP to add to our global warming problem for an extra 2-3 hp.

LOL. I'm no tree hugger- I'm probably one of the most conservative people on this board. Just seems like a big waste of money. I'd be surprised if you gained anymore than 1 whp with that. Our OEM cat is already a "high-flow" unit. No need to dish out $250 for another one. Unless you've got a few hundred bucks just burning a hole in your pocket, the moral argument sounds a little thin to me. As to the eye-rolling, I didn't mean it to sound as condescending as it probably looked but based on the reasoning you gave, it just didn't make sense to me.

BTW, HKS Hi-Power w/ Megan test pipe here

Now let me get this straight.... Why would Toda make this or even call it high flow cat if it doesn't pass emission? If they really did a ton of R&D, then it should pass. But then again, it's only $250 from the JDM land...
