Default New windshield Does anyone make a better one?

I might have to have my windshield replaced, but want to know if anyone else besides Honda makes a glass for the car. The OE windshield is soooo soft it chips really easy. I am looking for a windshield that won't chip as bad.

I replaced mine w/ a PPG unit. Much, much better than the OEM window.

forgot the brand of my windshield but I can dig it up somewhere. it is MUCH better, stays clearer much longer and does not pit as easily as the OEM unit.

The OEM windshield is not made by Honda. A few OEM suppliers make them for Honda (two of which being Asashi and PPG). I replaced my OEM windshield with a PPG and it chips just as easily as before.

How much did it cost for the new window? I got quoted $470.00. I don't really care that much, because insurance is paying for it.

kuni, what happened to your windshield? Did it get cracked or something.

I was cleaning the windshield on my car the other day and noticed a ton of pits in it. The glass sure is soft.

I went for a drive on Saturday night, was coming off of Sunset onto the 405 and something hit my window and cracked it in two places. They are only 1/8 " away from each other, so the insurance company said to see if it spreads. If it does then I will have to get a new windshield. And mine has a ton of chips too.

I am going to call you Ryan if I need a windshield.
