Default Newbie with a question about headlight clearing

Hi guys, I finally bought my car yesterday after months of waiting. It's a silverstone metallic. I want to clear my headlight as my first mod. I was wondering what would my car look like with a clear headlight. Can someone post some pics of silverstone with clear headlights. Also, I'm a little confused about the process of clearing the headlights, am I removing the orange plastic part in the headlight housing? I hope this is not a dumb question. I am at work and don't have time to explore other forums. If you have any good techniques clearing the headlights, please let me know. Thanks

ummm.... THat's the bulb I believe. Without that you'll have a white blinker which is not good in the eyes of the cops. Other option is to get a silvervision bulb that looks silver but flashes amber. It's 20 bucks a pair I believe at autolamps.com.

From what I have heard, clearing the headlights is not an easy task. And on top of it, if you mess them up you will be paying out the ass for a new set.
I'm not sure where you are located but if I were you I would let someone who is experienced to clear them for you. It will cost you, but IMO it's worth it.

thanks, but i actually don't mind that tiny little bit left. in fact i favor it, but i'm weird like that. i'm just not one of the anti-all amber types, but i do think the monster OEM amber 'stripes' detract from the car's natural lines.

not to mention, the remaining amber keeps the local PD happy...

I have heard those comments from people that haven't given "silver" bulbs a try....once I tried them, I refused to return them to the person who borrowed them from...I bought him a new set though...
