Default Newbie Question: Plug Behind Driver's Seat?

When removing the panel (with the air vent) behind the driver's seat, I noticed a plug connector coming off of the wiring harness that isn't attached to anything. What is this for?

Dave, obviously no one knows. Why are you removing the panel behind the seat? I think you can get 5 years to life for doing that.
Sorry I cannot help you.
(where are you in the bay area?)

I'm installing a new Alpine Stereo and speakers; upgraded 6.5" in the doors, and new 5.25" rears behind the seats, as per Lucid Automotive. So, as I'm about to run the rear speaker wires, I notice a connector which *could* be a prewired speaker connector (or not). Sure would like to know what that connector is for... alarm, speakers, etc...

I live in Alameda, work in SF.

that plug is for the defroster button which is needed when you add a hardtop to the s2k.

Thanks for the reply! I appreciate it.

PS - The rear speaker install, which I did myself (Dremel Tools are great!) worked great. Sound envelopment is much improved...

Time to go for a drive!
