Default Nice quote in local paper

This is from the Arizona Republic in an article reviewing the Lexus SC430:

To rank the SC430 among the roadster clan: The engine power may be right up there, but all-round performance pales in relation to some of the fine driving machines in this class, including Mercedes SLK320, Porsche Boxster S, Honda S2000, BMW M3, and, of course, Chevrolet Corvette.
Just a little tidbit about a fine driving machine!

How many of you agree that the SLK320 is a fine driving machine?

The SLK 320 is a fine driving machine..

And to imagine it was created to compete with the Mustang....

Hmmm... Seriously, what do you guys think of the SLK. My wife really wants to buy the SLK32 AMG (she is pretty sure she'll be able to take me in friendly little race). It looks impressive on paper, but I never see it on the road. I see lots of SLK230's and SLK320's, but have never seen the SLK32 AMG. I went to the dealership today and they said it would take 3 to 4 months to order one and they wouldn't be doing that unless we put some serious money down.

I'll be keeping my S2000, because I am just loving it, so please no flames about eyeing another car. I really am interested in any background knowledge that anyone may have on the subject.

Thanks (and now I will go and check and see if the search is back up and running )

The sub 5-second, 13.1-ish (mag racing now) SLKAMG is my next car...as soon as it gets the 6-speed tranny.

Though the SC430 (with more power to offset the weight) is right up there as well.

I'm getting older (41)....these applications are beginning to appeal to me.
And that's all I have to say about that.

hey, we are all car people right? just because we have a great roadster doesnt mean we cant check the other ones out and comment on their strengths and beauty. While i am not a benz person myself, the SLK is a fine automobile, and is likely a great choice for many folks, just not me. The AMG however, I would consider as the performacne does appeal to me. Luckily, I have my S so i dont have to make such considerations.
