i'm giving a report of my experience in case anyone wants to know. i already have a car so, why would i be thinking about getting one? this is a forum where we share info and give our opinions, right?

 

With some modification I don't see why not.

nicest 'new' feature in the 06 is the passenger side air bag cut off ...

IMO.

 

The wheels are disgusting in my opinion... 04-05 wheels look better.

 

Being an ex 01 owner, I'd have to say that I really like the 06's interior compared to the 00-01. You 04 owners take for granted some of the cooler things you have!

I personally like the new seats. The older style seats are great if you're wearing a helmet, but when youre on a long cruise, the holes are rather unconfortable.

The center console (yeah, same as the 04's and up) is quite nice. I really wish Honda wouldve offered this from the get-go.

The redesign of the door panels give you at least a couple more inches than the 00-03's.

It's a nice car minus one thing.. the wheels.. yuck!

 

the older seats by themselves aren't complete, imo. with a ricks/wlaurant headrest, it's the best in terms of comfort and reducing wind. many people overlook the importance of what the soft pillows can do for the car.

i didn't start the thread to reopen a 06 vs pre 06 battle. im sorry if it came across that way. i just got a chance to check out the car today and wanted to share. my thoughts were just more neg than pos.

 

There have been minor and not so minor changes in every year model since the S2000's inception. There have always been those who really liked the changes and those who really hated the changes. You can't please everyone, all of the time.

The important part about the '06 is that, deep down, it's still an S2000, and that makes it Ok in my book!
