I had a 50 shot wet zex kit. I was running it with NGK 2step colder spark plugs, zex window switch, bottle opener, and even the purge. It was pretty sick. Sprayed quite often, and never had a single problem. If you really want to get info on nitrous I would check out the mustang forum they do 200+ shots and they really know their shit when it comes to nitrous. When I did my research before I planned out my kit. I read that, to stay safe you should get at least 1step colder spark plugs, and if you are going over a 75shot get it dyno tuned. Also running a window switch is a must because if you hit the rev limiter it cuts the fuel to you engine so you spray just nitrous=BOOM, or you spray to early the nitrous builds up on your pistons and BOOM.
Don't our cars come with forged pistons and rods? If so, they can handle a lot of abuse. A stock 03-04 Cobra block has forged internals and can handle up to 800hp. Now I'm not saying our engines are the same as a Cobra's, however, the forged internals make a big difference.
I wanna see some ZEX installations on a S2000
i just got mine kit!
I wanna see were everyone is putting their purple control unit, looks like a bit*h to install tough!
P.s. is it bad if the fuel regulator and vacuum hose what are going to the purple control unit are over 15 inches long or do they need to be as short as possible? Cant read anything in the manual about that

I really need to know the max. length from the regulator/intake hose to the control unit, do they need to be as short as possible or is it okay if they are both around 25" long...
I searched the entire zex manual but they dont say anything about that, need some help guys, calling ZEX from europe on my cellular isn't an option...

Wouldn't this topic be better served in the Forced Induction forum? Nitrous is technically an FI system.... There are also a lot more members who are knowledgable in that area who are online a lot more.

Zex 75 dry shot here.... this kit is awesome, nitrous is the best bang for the buck.
anyone have any specific questions just ask, and with the Zex kit, you do not NEED a window switch, if you have any self discipline at all, you can manage it your self, dont spray below 4k, and dont bounce the rev limiter. colder plugs, make sure the jets are correct, tap into the FPR correctly and your ready,
a bottle heater wont make anything safer, it will just make sure you get the most out of your bottle, a window switch is NICE but not needed, in the end when you get everything tuned, a window switch would make you faster in a drag race. but just to get everything up and running and get a feel for nitrous, it is not needed.
and surprisingly enough my stock clutch is holding. for now.
P.S. If anyone is interested I am selling my ZEX dry kit, comes with everything needed to spray safely. PM me if interested, I am going with a Direct port Wet set-up.

Nitrous is fun and can be relatively safe if the proper precautions are taken. If you care about your engine then purchasing the safety equipment is essential in my book. I think at a minimum, a WOT switch, window switch and fuel pressure safety switch are the big ones. I am not familiar with the s2000 ignition but I would recommend retarding the ignition 2 degree for every 50hp so be on the safe side while spraying.
I wouldn't spray below 3000 rpm and I would have it cut off right before the rev limiter just incase you over rev and/or mis-shift for whatever reason. Spray it on the dyno to confirm the A/F is in check just to make sure everything is good to go. Most of the issues you hear with nitrous are from people not taking precautions, being greedy with the jetting, and/or have engine mechanical issues.
