Exclamation no more end of s2k threads...there will be a

Honda makes "small" changes every 2 years, 00-01, 02-03. 04-05 and now 06 and 07 will be the same follwoing the pattern.

I have a feeling the s2k will go on to 09 and just be the same 240HP and die off a la NSX....

Im just surprised honda hasn't look at the compeition of the soon to be released solistice and sky who will be SC and turbo stock from the factory with warranty and cost less than the s2k, 260HP 250 TQ......+ turbo = so much more mod potential...The roadster market will be fun now with all the choices, maybe honda will wake up and finally do a major change/upgrade

Getting this in before it gets locked.

Honda executives in Japan have stunned the automotive community with the declaration that 2006 will be the last year for the current S2000.
This is an excerpt from that Home Page article on APRIL FOOLS DAY that was supposed taken from one of our leading car mags (and "doctored up" a bit).

I'm wondering who these "HONDA EXECUTIVES" are and who's friend's uncle's dog walker's boyfriend's next door neighbour's secretary's friend from overseas aunt's brother-in-law's cousin actually heard this conversation.

Damn it! I so wish I have some swamp land for sale during that whole episode. I could have made such a killing from all the gullible people here.

And here I thought the S2000 was discontinued and replaced with the S2200, back in '04.

I feel that Honda should let the s2k go in the next year or two if they aren't going to make some changes towards better(faster) performance.

the word on the street is...the s2000 has already been discontinued. What we're buying is rebadged Ferraris.

Honda has stated 2008 already, which seems right on with their 2 year refresh cycle and 4 year update cycle. If I had to put money on it, I would go with them and say '08.
