Default No More My S2000

I hate to do it, but I need the money for Grad School. I have to sell my S2000. How much should i expect if i sell it myself? Its a 2001 Siverstone/red with a spoiler as the only option added. 19000 miles. New S02's in the rear. Never been wrecked. Perfect condition with no dents anywhere.

Its going to be a sad sad day when i replace it for a $14000 civic.

Thanks for your help.

I'd say about $31 K.

Anyways, if you're going to buy a Civic for $14k, go find yourself a Civic hatch for about $8-9. Because, if you're opting to save as much cash, then why not just buy a used car?

thanks for the reply. I guess i really messed up on the subject line. What i meant to say was No More S2000.

I checked the Kelly Blue Book Value and it says its valued at $31,195. I kinda find that hard to believe since people on this forum have said that they are buying it new at MSRP ($32,500). Can I really expect to sell it for $31,000?

went to edmunds.com and it says $28,500. that makes more sense.

Blue book value is never a good measuring stick. Edmunds true market value is a much better estimate, usually.

Of course, there is always the occasionaly sucker who will pay you more than what they should. Good luck with your sale.

I don't mean to bum you out but I doubt you'll get more than 25k. I bought a brand new 2001 last January and only paid $28,000.

I would list it for 32k in your local paper, dealer prices never include tax and lic. there are folks out there that really want an S2000 but can't come up with the 39-40k to really get it out the door. I live in AZ and tax and lic. add about 3-4k to the car. and at 500 a year to tag it. if your plates are good for awhile longer put that in the add as well. If you ask 32 and work down to 30 you can walk away and not be upside down at least. Good luck!
