It sure is. I wish I had the car, not just the jpeg.

In Europe Honda are relying heavily on the performance and sporty image - giving Formula 1 racing drivers NSX Type R's, and picturing them in S2000's etc.

FOr Honda, brand strength, built on sporting and engineering credibility is worth much more than the re-tuning, boring out of engines...

If they drop both nsx and s2000, what will be their flagship production car - the civic type R??

also, car manufacturers need to play in as many sectors as they can, to capitalise on their brand costs and dealer networks, etc.

by pulling out of the sports sectors, they will damage the reputation that helps them sell CRV's etc.

I can imagine that the S only has a couple of years left in it, but they will still play in 2-seater roadster and sports car categories, just can't wait to see what with

They just moved production of the "specialty cars" to a new facility! There was no NSX/S2000 for May production becuase of this. I know because our new S2000 order was delayed till June production for July delivery. Why move the plant AND restart production only to shut it down again. I vote for dis-information so as not to kill off whatever NSX sales remain for the current and 2005 models.

The original rumor began with an unnamed "Honda insider". IMO an uncredited source is not a good source of information but two can play this game: A Honda "insider" has suggested to me that the HSC concept uses stamped body panels. They did not appear to be hand made like a "one off" prototype. If they've already made the dies to produce this car, they are committed!

It was announced months ago. There is a thread that discusses it somewhere on the forum.

Production for these models has ended at Tochigi and is now moved to the Suzuka plant if I recall correctly.
