Default No power in reverse?

I seem to be experiencing no power in reverse. When backing up normally, the car sputters like it's going to die. Seems like you need to alot of gas to get it going. Especially backing up on a hill! It also seems to be easy to burn the clutch in reverse.
Anybody else think the same?

I agree. I've stalled once in the last two months. It was backing up on a hill (In front of two s2k owners ). It seems to take more to reverse up a hill than to go up a hill in first.

Just checked it out. Top speed IN REVERSE is about 47 mph. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...t=reverse+speed
first gear is about 43 mph

There is a difference in gearing between first and reverse. There's probably more to this than the gearing, though. I'm not an expert.

I live on a hill. I back up my driveway when I need the hardtop on or off. Never a problem.

We've done some reverse "experiements" with no lack of power. Not sure about up hill. If you can find a hill in Houston I'll test it ouy.
