Default no power steering

I'm very interested in buying a 2000 s2000. Very good condition with 38k on it. It doesn't have power seats (really don't care about that) but more importantly, no power steering. How much will it affect the S?

No S2000s have power seats. Is the power steering broken?

Check the power steering fluid.

It was an ad that I saw on ebay that ended recently. It didn't sell so I emailed her and told her I was interested and she wants to sell it to me for 4k. I'm waiting to hear back from her. I was just like "no power steering? What?!" I sound like an idiot, I know. But you guys know A LOT more about this car than I do.

There is no such thing as a $4000.00 S2000 in very good condition with only 38K miles. There is pretty much no such thing as a $4000.00 S2000.

I know. Thats why I'm so cautious. She says that she really needs to get rid of it.

Definitely see it in person/drive it before purchase. If nothing else, you could probably part it out for more than $4k.

I was thinking the same thing.

and as Ckit said check the P/S fluid cause that could be the culprit of no P/S. I recommend waiting for one thats better and not so shady

Ckit was kidding. There is no PS fluid because our power steering is totally electronic. Maybe you need to check the electron count or level, but as long as there are enough free electrons in the conductors ...
