Default noises when I turn right

Only when I turn very fast (high G's). I've only got it to do it when I turn right. It sounds like it's coming from inside the center console. It's quite loud but like I said, it's only when I'm turning extremely fast so it's kind of hard to really look where it's coming from. Any ideas?

Imagine a bowling ball(ok maybe a really small bowling ball) rolling from one side and smacking the other side of the center console. Put your left hand out in front of you...(right now, do it)...rotate your closed fist 1/4 turn counter clockwise...Now, move it quickly to the right untill it smacks your computer screen. Sounds about like that. I'm kinda worried. hopefully it will be like every other little gripe I've had with this car and just fix itself in a day or two.

Sounds like a thunking sound that some people have heard before... I personally haven't heard it... but someone else should chime in!

this may sound silly but check what things you have in the compartment/secret compartment....I was experiencing thunks during hard corners as well as over bumps and and turned out to but all the junk I had in the compartment (mag light, digital tire pressure gauge, CD's, etc.)

And if you're like me, right turns are usually made much faster than left turns due to the cross-traffice car in the left turn lane....which may account for it only happening on right turns....

no it's not that. I don't have much stuff in my car and I checked that right away. Plus, it's only in extremely fast right handers, like stuff I shouldn't be doing on the streets.

It might be your guardian angel telling you, "KNOCK IT OFF, BLOCKHEAD!"
Seriously, pop your console cover off and see if there is anything loose in there. The wiring harness for the rear defogger may have come unfastened. Or jack up the car and take a look under it and give everything a good push.

It sounds like something mechanical. I don't like it. I'm gonna invstigate this weekend. I'm going to Porta Rico tomarrow and won't be back till this weekend so I'll just check it out then.

Don't get into a frenzy. S2000's past a certain point in '00 were pre-wired with harnesses for the rear defogger for the hard top. The one in the console is supposed to be secured in place when you haven't bought a hard top yet. It may have just become detached. If you don't have a hard top, it doesn't do anything.

Hey, how much effort does it take to replan your trips so you make left turns only? Sheesh
