The car didn't like crusing above the 6000 rpm range. I car did not react very smoothly when I was either off the gas or just holding at a constant rpm.

That's the word, smooth, the car wasn't very smooth when I was not accerating though vtec into the next gear.

Are you trying to say that you noticed a lack or torque in the lower RPM range?

The gearing in first and the power available after VTEC switchover could be the cause of the jerkiness you noticed. It won't be as pronounced in other gears.

I don't think the S2K was made to "cruise" above 6000rpms in VTEC. Anything above 6000 rpms would be for spirited driving, while under 6000 is for daily crusin.

i don't think u should cruise above 6000 rpms. it would heat up too fast
