hey guys i'm new here....rightnow i'm driving a 97 Acura 3.0CL....also a member at Acura-CL.com. been wanting a S2K since it first came out but couldnt effort it back then. i found a 01 S2K black on black with 12K mile for $16K...i am in progress of getting a loan to pick that car up.

My question is, how do ya like the S2K, what do i need to look for and what do i need to be prepare to repair? whats the pro and con on the S2k? i'm not having 2nd thought at all....honda fan my (driving) life...i'm pretty sure i'll pick up the s2k no matter wat...just wanna be aware of all the cons for the future.

Get a carfax report. I think it helps a lot. And I agree with nVz2000; look into a 2002 or newer. IMO a lot more pros than cons on the S.

 

The biggest change I think in 2002+ is that the rear window is now glass. It seems to last a lot longer and is a lot easier to keep up.


That does seem like a great price thought, make sure it's inspected.

 

why the 02+ rather than the 01? whats the different?

well the 02+ has a glass window, also doesn't have that gear 1 and 2 grind, the ecu is a little revised....and also i believe the 02+ has 4 speakers as opposed to 2 from the older models....(2 tweeters and 2 door speakers).. .. i think thats about it...

 

leather center console, leather wrapped knob, better factory radio.

 

btw, i used to drive a 97 3.0 CL. heheeh nice car, but its no s2k Mine was that nasty champagne color though. and 3.0 = automatic.

 

ahh forgot about the leather center console.. looks so much better then that shitty carpet concole hahahahahhaa.....
