which year is the best in your opinion? Not so much styling..engine, suspension, etc.

what do i need to look out for when I decide to go purchase one?

00-first year, plastic rear window
01- i think basically the same as 00, but wind deflector became standard, and they added some colors (i think)
02-First major changes, glass rear window, which is smaller then the plastic one, but is much better looking, upgraded radio(although it still sucks), chrome rings in taillights, leather center consol instead of carpet, leather on the shift knob, Honda fixed the grinding problem in the tranny when shifting from 1st to 2nd.
03-basically same as 02 (i think)
04- more major changes. Engine is now 2.2 liters instead of 2.0. Revs to 8k instead of 9k, more torque, but not as "cool". New tailights and headlights, some minor body changes, a few interior changes
05- very simillar to 04

Personally, i would buy a 02 or 03, because of the glass rear window and the 9K redline. Personally, i think it looks better then the 04s and 05s, and i think that they feel more "normal" and less exciting.

You can get a low mileage 02 for 22-24k.

The biggest changes in the '04 may be the suspension and wheel changes.

Coming from an owner of an 01' and now an 05', I definatly recomend the 04' or 05'. The added low end torque is long overdue and is so much better for day to day driving.

My verdict -
Daily driver, get an 04' or 05'
Sunny day driver, get an 02'-05'

you should definitely test drive both 03 and 04
04-05 is so much more friendlier to drive than previous years

btw, there is NO difference in 04-05

I chose 03 over 02. The 02 I test drove just didn't seem to shift as smooth as the 03. Also, I think I read somewhere that there are more TSBs out for the 02s. Not sure if there are any for 03.
