Not into golf but would go to Mendo.

It's a great drive. North on 101 to Cloverdale then 128 east (with a stop at the Anderson Valley Brewing Co. for a pint of Bootville ale) to 1 north to Mendocino.

Just make it after May 1st. I also like the idea of above SF not below. I got out of the Bay area partially due to the brutal traffic.
Maybe the SCCA has a spring track day at Sears Point we could crash! (not literally)
