I was just wondering when you guys drive the S2K, in third gear or so when you let go of the clutch and the gas does the car kinda growl or rattle a bit. I just wanted to know if it was normal.

Yah -- at 9000 rpm, its growling for sure :-)
Does this happen at a particular rpm range?

It happens definately before Vtec, around 4500 to 5000 rpm.

Im assuming you're referring to the decelleration noise between 3000 and 4500 rpm or so. This is a known issue, and there's a tsb (54) that addresses it.

I have the same issue about the rattling sound when releasing clutch and pressing the accelerator. Anyway, sorry if this was covered but what is tsb 54?? What does TSB stand for???

I think TSB is Technical Service Bulletin. I also have to check it out. The growling isn't such a big issue when driving fast, but i've also adapted my driving style so I dont here it anymore.

TSB #54 is clutch-related. I'm sure someone has a copy and would be glad to post it.

BladeS2K I think I know the noise you mean.
It has happened twice to me. Both times in third, car in gear and decelerating at about 60 KPH (35 MPH)
It was not just a decelerating noise but rather a distinct gear box grinding sound.

Very disturbing.
