Is it normal for center piece to get so hot?

Default Is it normal for center piece to get so hot?

when the car is on for awhile, running and stuff, sometimes my center console area / passenger side area where the foot is gets pretty hot.. is this normal ??

Yes, it is normal for the console to get warm to the touch.

I refer to the cup holder in my 2001 as the coffee/beverage warmer.

I never use the cup holder, FYI.

Yup..... it's the same with Ap1 and Ap2... it gets pretty warm.... (and also why my drinks never stay really cold on long trips.. )
